We, of Five Continents Productions, have chosen, among the great multitude of impressive waterfalls scattered around the world, these 15 as the most beautiful for your next audiovisual projects.

With about 130 meters high and a lot of fog, the Victoria Falls are a Unesco World Heritage Site. Right on the border between Zambia and Zimbabwe you can find one of the most beautiful waterfalls in the world in the middle of nature, a perfect location for your audiovisual production or photographic shooting.

Ruacana Falls (Namibia)

The waterfalls of Ruacana are one of the many that can be found in Africa, a continent that will surprise everyone, who carries a camera, by the infinity of waterfalls that you can portray for your audiovisual project. Powerful and impetuous, the Ruacana waterfalls plunge down, more than 120 meters, into one of the wildest areas of the continent, near the border between Namibia and Angola.

Maletsunyane (Lesotho)

In the highlands of the small African country of Lesotho, near the city of Semonkong, this 192-meter-high waterfall emerges. It is one of the largest waterfalls on the entire continent, where the waters of the Maletsunyane River are precipitated in a spectacular location for a photographic shooting or audiovisual production.

Kaieteur Fall (Guyana)

This spectacular waterfall is located on the Potaro River, within the Kaieteur National Park, one of the most beautiful nature reserves in all of South America. The waters of this fall, located in the center of Guyana, plunges from 226 m high off a cliff’s edge. The Kaieteur Fall is four times higher than the Niagara and about twice the height of the Victoria Falls, but much less known. An almost secret location for your audiovisual project.

Angel Falls (Venezuela)

At 979 meters above sea level, the Angel Falls, with a plunge of 807 meters, is the highest uninterrupted waterfall in the world. The water reaches the top of the plateau of Mount Auyantepui, in the middle of the Amazon rainforest, and submerges dramatically in one of the most densely green places on earth. It is one of the most famous natural wonders on the planet. A truly unique location for a photographic shooting or wild audiovisual production.

Iguazu Falls (Argentina / Brazil)

The Garganta del Diablo is the most popular among the 275 waterfalls of the Iguazú River, on the border between Argentina and Brazil. They are among the most spectacular sets of waterfalls in the world, beautiful and perfect, and they have already appeared on the set of many films, from James Bond to Indiana Jones. Vernal Falls (California)

It is one of the most beautiful waterfalls in Yosemite National Park, California, with a drop of nearly 97 meters. This stream of water in free fall from a rock is incredible, perfect for an audiovisual production or photographic shooting from any of its perspectives.

New Navajo Waterfalls (Arizona)

In 2008 a massive flash flood swept through Havasu Canyon and altered the course of the Havasu Creek. The result was that the creek now bypasses the Old Navajo Falls, while creating two new falls, the New Navajo Falls. They are different, although the beauty of its predecessor retains. At the end of autumn a shallow pool is formed that offers great reflections and light games for your audiovisual project.

Niagara Falls (Canada)

Probably the best known, but that does not stop being one of the most famous waterfalls in the world. The incredible Niagara Falls attracts millions of visitors each year to enjoy this spectacle of nature. From the American side there are some stairs that allow you to descend almost to the water … if you are looking for a closer location for your audiovisual production or photographic shooting. The view from its Canadian side is more panoramic.

Git Git Waterfalls (Bali)

The northern territory of Bali hosts these two spectacular waterfalls with a height of 35 meters, surrounded by a dense tropical forest, inhabited by wild monkeys. The water does not stop flowing throughout the year and forms a lake suitable for bathing, protected by the dense jungle vegetation that surrounds it. If you are looking for a totally virgin location, this is the ideal place for your audiovisual project.

Huangguoshu (China)

The Huangguoshu Waterfall, in Anshun, Guizhou, China, is the largest waterfall in East Asia. It is 81 meters wide and 74 meters high and surrounded by vegetation. Here you have a wide variety of perspectives for your audiovisual production or photographic shooting.

Milford Sound (New Zealand)

The Milford Sound fjord, a sinuous tongue of water fifteen kilometers inland, is perhaps one of the most sublime places on the South Island of New Zealand, and the most visited part of the Fiorland National Park. Many waterfalls overlook the fjord, and have their maximum expression in the so-called Lady Bowen or the more distant Stirling. Will you get to them to locate your audiovisual project?

Iceland is known as the land of ice, but it could also be considered as the land of waterfalls. When the temperatures begin to rise, the ice melts and, like the glaciers, it crosses this rugged landscape feeding wild water courses that, in their majority, are topped with majestic waterfalls like this one of Dettifoss, the most powerful cascade of Europe. Marmore’s Falls (Italy)

These falls, belonging to the biggest waterfalls in Europe, begin at about 165 meters high and end at the Nera gorge. They are truly beautiful and among the most incredible waterfalls on the continent. They are located a few kilometers from Terni, in the Umbria region, and a must if you are looking for natural beauty in your audiovisual project.
